Dr. Jason G. Barton has spent over 20 years providing comprehensive dental care with a strong focus on patient comfort and long-term results. His clinical expertise includes dental implants, orthodontics, wisdom teeth removal, cosmetic dentistry, and advanced restorative care.

He earned his dental degree from the University of the Pacific, one of the nation’s top dental schools, and began his career in Southern California. In the mid-2000s, Dr. Barton relocated to Utah, where he partnered with Dr. Gary McLeod to grow what is now iSmile Dentistry with a Heart. Today, iSmile includes nearly 20 locations across Utah and Arizona, with continued expansion planned.

In addition to being an owner, Dr. Barton serves as iSmile’s Chief Clinical Director for implants, orthodontics, periodontal surgery, and cosmetic dentistry. He provides advanced care across the network and helps guide a multidisciplinary approach that allows patients to receive thoughtful, comprehensive treatment in one place. The iSmile offices use state-of-the-art technology, including 3D imaging, lasers, same-day crowns, and digital X-rays. Dr. Barton also mentors and trains other iSmile doctors in implant surgery, orthodontics, periodontal care, and cosmetic dentistry.

Dr. Barton personally places around 50 dental implants each month and oversees more than 100 implant procedures across the network. Over the course of his career, he has placed nearly 5,000 implants and continues to prioritize quality, precision, and patient outcomes. He also oversees orthodontic care for more than 500 patients monthly.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Barton has been married to his wife, Kathryn, for over 25 years. They are the proud parents of five sons and have lived in Hawaii, California, and Utah. Their family is deeply involved in service and humanitarian work, both locally and abroad. Dr. Barton has also coached more than 55 youth sports teams over the past two decades, mentoring young athletes on and off the field. When he finds personal time, he enjoys surfing in California, Mexico, and Hawaii.

Dr. Gabriella Gonzalez earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Utah School of Dentistry in 2025. Originally from Reno, Nevada, she has a deep-rooted passion for serving diverse communities and delivering compassionate, comprehensive dental care.

Dr. Gonzalez takes a patient-centered approach, with an emphasis on prevention, education, and building trust with every patient she meets. She finds particular fulfillment in helping patients relieve dental pain, restore missing teeth, and overcome dental anxiety. She is excited to begin serving the patients at iSmile and looks forward to making each visit as comfortable and positive as possible.

During dental school, Dr. Gonzalez received the prestigious Elizabeth Fuhriman Gardner Prize for Outstanding Students, recognizing her leadership, integrity, and commitment to public health. Her extensive volunteer work includes serving the Hispanic/Latinx community, refugees, LGBTQIA+ individuals, underserved children, and those experiencing homelessness.

Outside of the office, Dr. Gonzalez loves watching sports, exercising, and spending time with her family. She travels to Elko, NV often to visit her parents, two sisters, and brother. She plans to take her family to Chicago one day to cheer on the Chicago Bulls in person. Her family background and community-focused mindset continue to inspire the care she provides every day.
