Meet
Dr. Jeffrey Spillers
Dr. Jeff Spillers truly enjoys dentistry, especially helping patients feel comfortable and confident in the dental chair. He’s passionate about using modern technology to make visits easier and less stressful, and he takes pride in helping patients move past dental anxiety.
He’s an identical twin, and yes, his twin brother is also a dentist. Fortunately, his brother does not live in Tucson, so patients do not have to guess which dentist they are seeing. Dr. Spillers was born in Casper, Wyoming and grew up in Reno, Nevada, where he learned to golf and picked up a love for the game. He attended dental school in San Francisco and still enjoys talking with patients who have spent time there.
Dr. Spillers began his career in Reno, working primarily in nursing homes and creating dentures, an experience that gave him a level of hands-on expertise many dentists never get. He later moved to Tucson to be closer to family and quickly found himself at home. He has now been practicing in Tucson for more than ten years and enjoys connecting with patients, including practicing his Spanish whenever he can.
Outside the office, Dr. Spillers’ favorite role is being a husband and father to three daughters. He has been with iSmile Dentistry for nine years and values the people, culture, and patient-first philosophy of the practice. After becoming a partner, he now helps support iSmile’s growth across Arizona and Utah. Dr. Spillers is a lifelong learner who enjoys the challenge of continuing to grow, both as a dentist and as a business owner, while helping patients experience the difference thoughtful dental care can make.

Dr. Carolyn Rihanek
Dr. Carolyn Rihanek is a highly experienced general dentist with over 30 years of dedication to providing quality dental care. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Crayton Dental School in Omaha, Nebraska in 1995. A proud member of both the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Arizona Dental Association (AZDA), Dr. Rihanek is committed to maintaining the highest standards in dental practice.
Originally from Seattle, Washington, Dr. Rihanek now calls Arizona home but frequently travels back to Washington to visit her mother. When she’s not in the office, she enjoys staying active through fitness and hiking, spending time in her garden, and relaxing with her rescue cat, Theo- a charming tuxedo kitty. She's also a devoted mother to her 27-year-old son.
A fan of both the Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks, Dr. Rihanek loves unwinding with crime shows and spending quality time with her family. She is excited to begin serving the patients at iSmile and looks forward to making each visit as comfortable and positive as possible.

Our office accepts almost all PPO insurance plans and many Medicaid and UHC Dual Complete options. Because coverage varies, our team will verify your benefits and go over everything with you before treatment. Our goal is transparency and helping you make the most of your plan.
Yes. We reserve several openings every day specifically for emergency visits. Whether you’re dealing with sudden pain, a broken tooth, or swelling, we’ll do everything we can to get you seen the same day and provide treatment, or at minimum, relief and next steps, right away.
Costs depend on your insurance, your treatment needs, and the type of materials or techniques recommended. During your visit, our treatment coordinator will explain your options, review your benefits, and provide a clear estimate before anything begins. We also offer affordable payment plans to make treatment stress-free.
Not at this time. We currently offer Monday–Friday care with early Friday hours, but we are actively planning expanded hours in our future, larger location. If you’re experiencing pain after hours, we recommend calling us so we can help determine next steps.
Yes. We partner with Sunbit and CareCredit to offer flexible monthly payments, including interest-free options for qualifying patients. These plans provide support for larger treatments like implants, root canals, and cosmetic services.
